Never enough time in a day

I can not believe that I have not posted in OVER a month! Life just waits for no one.

Many changes have occurred in our lives. And we are finally settling into them.  All good.
(Mostly because THAT's how I CHOSE to feel about it) Is life perfect? NO. Is the Holiday Season 'hallmark' perfect? NO. Am I perfect and doing all I want and need to do at this very moment? NO.
Is everyone in my surroundings perfect? NO.

But here it is folks, no matter what your religious belief is or isn't, Life is ALWAYS about how you chose to take it or look at it. True, I am fortunate enough to not have much tragedy in mine. (So, that might make this easier [and I AM aware of that]) I can only hope to plow thru any future down falls keeping this very mind set.

Fact STILL remains that I try to look at the good that surrounds me. Doesn't mean that the 'bad' is not there. It just means that I refuse to dwell on the bad and rather focus on the good. If you give into the darkness of the bad, you actually give it power to overtake your everyday.

So this post reigniting a bit during this Holiday Season, will hopefully find you and yours in a good place at heart. And let me just infuse a little fire in ya'.

If life isn't what you want, start to make your plan on how to make it what you want now. Life is too short to live in denial. ...that's how regrets are created.

Everyday ins and outs, work, school, family, friends, acquaintances, strangers. YOU have the power to affect every one of these in some way shape or form daily. How will you chose to make your mark?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS my bloggers...

Largely why I am me...

Still no run. But Friday is the day we begin again. The hamstring is still a little tender but I can finally establish a complete stretch. Back to the 'ol (now modified) challenge.

As for the center piece of this post. Well, today was my mother's 5th anniversary since she's passed on. It was a perfectly gloomy day to match the gloom in my heart.
My husband, children and siblings (some of them) reached out and/or accepted my attempt to connect. It was still in part, I believe in trying to heal. Will it ever be healed? I mean, the loss of your parent. Do you ever really get over it?
I feel her presence in my life daily. I know that she is in my heart and that we remember her constantly and share memories of the moments that she shared with us and yet, today I was filled with so much sorrow.
I'm no child anymore. I know the truths about what it takes to be married, to want out, to stay together, to be unappreciated as a wife or mother at times, as a sister, aunt, woman or friend. Life isn't always fun or easy but thanks to her strengths and yes, my witnessing her weaknesses (whether in the moment or in retrospect); I have learned to be the woman that I am today.
She not only helped mold me through her love, but through her actions (wrong or right) and through her happiness and sorrows. I guess, through her life and death I have learned to live.

So today I give thanks for having had the mother that I had... She will never be forgotten because she made the time to have us all,  love us the best way she knew how and shared so much of herself anytime that she could.

Never underestimate the power of what it means to be a woman...

Just keep swimmin'...

Boy that Dory in 'Finding Nemo' really had something there.

You ever feel like even though you KNOW  that everything will be alright and things happen for a reason, you are just filled with anxiety and even hopelessness?!

Yep... Confession of a forty something year old woman. I feel like that all too often. Today and yesterday have been 'those' kind of days. I could just go on and on about all of it... Excuses and just things that keep me from doing what I want. Like the tweaked hamstring, the hubby's pulled ligament on his dominant hand, the pressures of everyday school/orchestra/athletics for all the kiddos, some life altering changes, the crazy amounts of work that need to be done and the absence of an idea of where to start!!!

Thank goodness for all the loving friends and family to support me 24/7!!!

(Not to mention my amazing supplement cocktail that keeps me from needing anxiety or depression meds...) I really love that these natural nutrients help keep me going day in day out.

Anyway, back to the meat and potatoes of this post. We're keeping it real as usual.

I need all of you to know that I too have my moments when I feel like a big fat fail!!! I haven't gone out to run in the last 3/4 days... :'/
I haven't gotten organized the way that I'd like/need.
I haven't even got a clue as how to get there!
But I will not quit! This running challenge WILL be picked right back up THIS week. As soon as I can actually stretch a little more without pain.

I WILL get a grip on my hopelessness because I CAN take a step in the right direction ONE DAMN DAY AT A TIME!

So stay hopeful all of you beautiful bloggers! No matter what your obstacles may be... We ALL have them! Keep that chin up and 'Just Keep Swimmin'!!

Top 5 Regrets found by a bedside nurse

I've slacked in posting again and I do apologize but tonight my son shared this simply amazing little article off facebook that definitely HAD to be shared. No sale pitch here. Just facts. Does it tie into what our business helps do for people? YES. Is it posted to benefit ME? No, not really. Part of my professional mission is to ignite a passion in you; Along with motivating and inspiring you to live to your maximum potential. That said, I cannot withhold information that I KNOW holds nothing but realistic potential for all seeking a change in their daily grind. How do I know? I am living proof along with hundreds of my business partners... Enjoy the article and live well my bloggers.

"For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives. People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality.
I learned never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.
When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honored even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honor at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realize, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you  change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
Often they would not truly realize the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realize until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again. When you are on your deathbed, what  others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness."
Fact IS, our biz 'actually' has a business plan to facilitate prioritizing your life...

Was it a Fail or a Success in disguise?!

Yeah only the 10th of October yesterday and I already 'couldn't' fit my run in. :/

Grant it, the original goal was to 'just get out' and run 29-31 days this month. (But I took it to the next level and made it 'Daily 5k's') o_O ...I don't know why I do that to myself. I just do.

So today, I was lucky enough to get 4.2 miles in... :D Yup, so tomorrow we add another mile and 1 mile on Sunday; that'll make up for the missed 5k. ;)

Now let's dissect this. Was it an actual Fail?!?! Or was it simply an opportunity to excel (above and beyond expectation)?

Truth is, I choose to believe the ladder.

That's your choice my beautiful bloggers. Your perception and attitude will determine your success in all that you do.

Big or small things... :)

Let's make adjustments and make the weekend the start of an amazing LiFe!!

That priceless moment when you realize that you are living your dream...

In our biz, we have trainings, seminars, business plan meetings and corings and yesterday, I attended a business plan meeting PURELY to satisfy my BIGGEST supporter, my 15yr old son. His Entrepreneurial self was seeking more info to build his dreams on. Then, as if that wasn't enough, he actually brought a prospect. o_O
(So damn proud of him... For 'sharing' his passion and our gift that we have stumbled upon.)

I didn't think much of it. Figured, I have to make it to more of these and brush up on the plan that holds my families future. (And rub elbows with some pretty incredibly beautiful people)

Out of no where at the end of the meeting, it happened!

I was one of the successful people standing in the front of the room because of where our biz is. Not just for a 'Pin Level' but for REAL commissions earned on my time, efforts and love for what I can do for others. I've done it!!! I have built the foundation to our UnFranchise to grow BiG & StronG in the next few years.

And no employer is reaping all the benefits for what I do; my family is.
:')

And who better to have in the crowd applauding my efforts than my son who has never doubted our business or my efforts?!

It was an incredible feeling. It completely took me by surprise! I didn't quite realize where I 'actually' stood HERE AND NOW...
until that moment that I was up there and I looked at the pride in my son's face.

Absolutely priceless.

It HAD to be shared folks. Because sometimes, amazing things just happen due to all of your efforts and day to day activities and way of life.

...you just have to be willing and open to catching the view.
Wrap up your day today finding the beauty in it and you can't go wrong my fellow bloggers!

Patience really IS a virtue...

Don't confuse patience with settling. Working hard and being consistent is key to achieving ANY goal.

However... Be realistic. There WILL be set backs. There HAS to be. THAT'S where true change and growth occurs. THAT'S were success is found. After living and making it through those set backs.

Keep in mind that having the 'right' frame of mind is critical. No matter what others may think or be ignorant enough to share. They may not believe in you but whether they believe in you or not DOES NOT define you or what you are capable of!

ONLY you can define who you are and what you are truly capable of accomplishing. If you WANT to lose weight, if you want to be an amazing Entrepreneur that stops making others rich with your blood, sweat, tears, time and money; YOU CAN DO IT.

Just don't give up on yourself. You are the only one that you can depend on to see you all the way!

In short, things may not start happening NOW. But if you believe in the changes that you are capable of and working at... Then keep planning, working and FINDING & MAKING your Momentum!

Happy Tuesday Bloggers!
Time to head out for my 7th 5k of the month. o_O (Lol)

Monday, October 7, 2013

Monday, Monday...

I can't believe I got a run in today. But yup... One 5k done four more to go this week. (In case you've just joined me, I have started a new challenge for the month of October... 28/31 consecutive 5k's or runs in the 31 days!!)

Got to enjoy my siblings (even the one in Mexico!!) and Bito today because it's Monday. Boy how I look forward to our Mondays!!!

After getting home from the outing and driving around dropping the kiddos at school, paying bills, making calls and getting a little work done, got stung by a bee IN MY HOUSE, took off to run, picked kids up and cooking some late dinner.... I really DO love my life.

Past 'my' willow tree and just couldn't help but share it with you all. :')

Enjoy it bloggers!!! Get out there and find YOUR Willow Tree...

Day off or functional movement at it's best?

No 5k today...
Heard about stress fractures sneakin' up on you and figured I'd not take a chance.
A little break might just be a smart thing.

After a (much needed) relaxing day, took off to 'watch' my husband play some two hand touch football with one of our teenagers and a co-worker. Then it turned into CoEd two hand touch football.

Yep... Got in on a little game. Had a couple TD's, blocked a few passes and ran quite a few routes.

41 years old and yes, I can hang a little. :)

Never really thought much about what all the hard work I make sure to fit in day to day does. LITERALLY...

It helps to ensure that I can live life to the fullest with my family... Never looking to sit on the sideline just because my body is not used to 'functional movement'.

Life and what happens in life may get me sidelined but not if I can help it. And keeping active and fit is how "I Can Help It!"

So tomorrow is a start to a new week.

What plan do YOU have to get your body used to functional movement???

Be creative. Use your love for fresh air, music or your dog! Put it together with a little jog/walk/dance/stretching!!! And allow your body to start functioning outside the stiffening norm!!!

The sky really is the limit.

Inspiration is EvErYwHeRe!

Have you seen this movie?!
Dirty but funny as all get out!!!
Had me rolling as I realized the similarities to my 'actual' perspective in life. OmG!!!
Can ANYBODY be less tech savvy than I?!
The answer: No!!!!
And yet, Blogspot, Twitter, Instagram, FaceBook, E-Mail, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, & E-Commerce!!! Yes... within the last year and a half, my Entrepreneurship has helped me to evolve AND be right smack in the middle of this amazing Social Media Networking World!!

What?! What? What?!

Hahahahahahahaha!
(You HAVE to actually see this flick to get ^that^)

Apparently, I AM a dork! I AM old!! And I AM from the 70's!!! (smh... and yet so proud of being able to stand tall with all of my "LiFe Experiences" that have catapulted me to where I am TODAY!)

But I have dreams that I WILL never give up on! (LmBo!)

AND THAT'S THE WAY YOU MAKE SH** HAPPEN!!!! ...omg, I've 'actually' been saying it for the last 3/4 years...

Dream it! Believe it!! Make a plan and follow IT!!! And YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT!!!!
Anything that you can dream up has the potential to be real!

...I know it because I'm LIVING IT! :')

What a way to wrap up this day...

Keeping it simple...

Today I walked to spread awareness of Psoriasis. I don't have Psoriasis but a dear friend dose and I wanted her to know that I stand at her side to stay strong and find a cure for such an emotionally debilitating skin disorder.

As always, I got so much more than I bargained for. Spent a lot of quality time with her beautiful mom who reminds me A LOT of my late momma. I feel uplifted and my soul rejuvenated. :')

I was accompanied by two young kids in that beautiful family while 'running' the event. (Got to mentor them on running being an art... And got my 5th 5k in for the week)

I received so much more already than I have given. And for that and the rest of this beautiful day I am so very grateful.

Make it an amazing weekend bloggers.
It's up to you and your outlook to find a way.

Friday, October 4, 2013

So apparently my body is a little beat up...

Went for my fourth 5k this week... And BAMMMM! I almost face planted. Lol
As much as I 'thought' I was lifting my feet, I wasn't. Apparently, my body is kind of saying f you!! Smh...

But one more 5k for the week and then 3 more weeks to go!

So, come out and let's get in gear! By the time the end of the month comes around, I should feel AMAZING! Join me!

It's still the beginning of the month. ;)

Reality likes to bring us down...

Last night, I heard a colleague had to get a strong radiation treatment and not be near anyone for a whole week. I heard a story on The Voice about two out of three siblings being very ill and having lifetime battles to fight. I saw acts of violence on the news and I keep re-posting 'missing children's' posts on Facebook.

My heart literally felt crushed. We take so very much for granted on a daily basis.

Today, I met with a prospect for a second time and held her as she wept because of loosing her mother recently. (She is searching for a way to mourn)... And I can only hope that I helped to set her on that path to healing.

I have felt crushed for so many of my fellow brothers and sisters in this Nation recently; that I do more on a daily basis in their honor.

Their strengths at getting through such true and unbearable hurdles... THAT fuels my desire to do all that I can do (while I still can). Our days are numbered and I just want to be able to look back and KNOW that I didn't waste my time while I could, I DID!  For better health, for strength, for giving My Creator ALL of the Glory in Thanks as I take on challenges...

And when it's my turn to ride the waves, I can only hope to take them head on, head held high, get knocked down and find the strength to get up again. Thank you to all who are true heroes and teach us that succeeding and knowing how to truly live is to take each day at a time and only do what you can. To eventually come out on top.... :')

I have had a miscellaneous pain on my neck/head/under the ear area since Sunday night...  I can't seem to get to the bottom of it but just going to take it one day at a damn time. Meanwhile, I just have the urge to keep on going and not let it stop me. (probably, stress induced anyway)

Actually got that 5k in for my October challenge and didn't have to end up on all fours to stop the World from spinning. Lol!  Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Good Night bloggers

Day 1 of October challenge done!

Okay... ran for the first time in oh I don't know, 3 weeks... a month. Possibly more.  It wasn't too bad in distance or time but I didn't get my 5k in. :/

I don't know if it IS indeed the vertigo that is getting worse or maybe my equilibrium IS off... But this crap is ANNOYING!!!! I got to 2.63 miles and the dizzies started... walked a half mile and started up again. To no avail. Ended up stopping the run at 2.91 miles instead of the original goal of 3.1 miles. Average pace was barely sub 10 minute miles, 9.56 avg I believe.

Blahhhh!!!

Can't wait until this gets easier... One down, 30 to go... Not quite sure if I want to rest any days in October... After all, the daily goal is JUST a 5k. lol

Remember, you never know what you can 'actually' achieve until you 'actually' try.

A new day, a new month, a new frame of mind...

What spark are you ready to ignite?!

Are you going to get to the New Year in 2014 feeling inadiquite in some shape? Or are you going to take the bull by the horns and put in 3 good months at reaching that eve standing proud of the person that you have become or are well on your way to becoming?!
It doesn't have to be 'fitness'. It doesn't even have to be 'health'.
Call people from your past to reconnect. Mend a broken relationship to let it thrive again. Drop a bad habit. Start a good one. Share a smile a day that you normally wouldn't have. Reignite your passion for reading just 10/15mins a day.
Hug your kids every single day. Kiss your significant other at least twice a day!
GET IT?!

Do your thing and let's see the shine all around us brighten up high!!!

Happy October to you my bloggers!

October holds a new challenge...

Reading is truly inspiring to me. That damn 'Competitor' magazine has me straight trippin'!!!! Lol

I found an Incredible quote by Jenny Simpson -two time U.S. Olympian & 2011 world champion in the 1,500-meter run:
"I sometimes hear people say they don't like running, but I think most people are never in good enough shape to really enjoy running. If you try to run consistently 30 days in a row - give our take no more than 3/4 Sundays off during that span - there is something special that happens and all of a sudden you start feeling good and really enjoying it. But if you only run once or twice a week and are taking several days off, you're always fighting getting in shape."

Hummm... Tomorrow is Oct 1st. There are 31 days in this upcoming month and I have not worked out in 2 WHOLE weeks. :(
YES, yes... Life got in the way again! I haven't gained any weight because I'm pretty much eating clean. In fact, I've lost about 5lbs in muscle... :(

Great thing that my daughter did by getting me into reading again. :D Because of YOU my dear, I will get stronger, healthier and happier this month. (Thank you...<3 )

So what will YOU do for 31 days???
Drink more water, eat out less, eat more veggies or work out 6 days a week (at least 15 mins a day to get that heart rate up)???

Get motivated to come up with a challenge this month all your own and become a better person, a healthier one, a stronger one and/or a happier one by carrying it out...

Come on, you can NEVER get too much
Monday Motivation!!! ;)

Sunday, September 29, 2013

Good morning bloggers!!!

Are we off to an amazing day?

Sure do hope so... doesn't mean that everything is perfect. Doesn't mean that we have it all figured out. It doesn't even mean that we are actually in a good mood. Lol

All it really means is, are we off to giving this day/coming week a chance?!

House may be a mess, relationships may need to have a talk, bank account may not have much in it;
BUT are you willing to check yourself and try and get yourself in the right frame of mind to put some positive energy out into our Universe???

Believe in it!!! Dwell in your problems and you will 'live' in them forever.
Stay/get positive and you will prevail!! Perfection or your idea of it is not realistic. It doesn't just exist. You have to MAKE YOUR perfection! I don't have everything that I want but I try and focus on what I do have and be grateful for it.
Many times people that I share a cup of coffee with express that I look like I have everything and that my life is perfect. IT IS FAR... VERY FAR FROM PERFECT. I DO NOT HAVE EVERYTHING THAT I DESIRE or feel that I /my family needs.  I AM JUST AS STRESSED AS THE NEXT PERSON TRYING TO FIND 'MY' HAPPY. ...I just live everyday TO BE HAPPY, no matter what the cards may hold on that given day. The difference is learning to accept what we have and how we live from one day to the next without having IT ALL. Give without expecting to receive. Smile at a stranger without a reason.

I guess I take it on as a challenge... hahaha. (refer to previous post)

CAN TODAY BE AMAZING? I tend to chose, YES, YES IT DAMN WELL CAN!!

F.Y.I.
In no way am I telling you to live in any sort of denial. If things aren't right, strive to make a plan and implement it to make them right. ONE STEP AT A TIME.

Believe that you are a gift...
Know that you make a difference...
Feel appreciated...

...to someone out there, by someone who's life you are a part of. (Might not be the person that you are focusing on getting all of the above from who may be in front of your face. Might just be someone that you touch without even knowing it. Look around you. You mean the World to someone for sure because we are all on the Earth for a reason. Even when we just may not see it. )

Happy Sunday!!!  =)

It's all about the cookies...

Saturday night... And the inspiration to blog ignites!

Thank you dear 22 year old daughter of mine!

She left me a magazine that I had never heard of on the mantel on her last visit...
"Competitor"

There was an article there that she thought I might enjoy. I took the time to read it now and found that she was quite right. Lol

The big topic in the article well let me just quote it, "Must everything be a competition with you?"

I love it!!! The answer to that was simply, "yes- completely, thoroughly and emphatically YES."

And it got me to thinking... Is that wrong?!?! I mean, I've always been a competitor and have grown up now to still compete with MYSELF a lot. Was my life of competitive sports a good thing or a bad thing?!

You ask yourself that. Is it bad to want to look and feel healthier? Is it vain to need to be comfortable and confidant in your own skin?

I get it... Maybe I do take it too damn far. I have become VERY difficult to please. Ha!!

But really...
I thrive in trying new things, expecting more from myself and finding ways to expand my Will power.

Not paying and signing up for a single running event this past year, not buying pool passes this past summer, not needing to upkeep my dark hair color, not eating anything that wasn't put on this Earth by God are amoung the few challenges that I have taken on this year.

Amoung the last ones have been the rhino challenge to go 365 days without 'yelling' at my kids and the getting $ in the door without leaving my home to work at making someone else rich.
Been doing pretty good with those. (I'm big on discipline so there has been some 'raising' my voice going on and I think maybe dropping the ball about 3 times with a yell caught half way in about 3 wks of the challenge and tapered down)
SEE?!?! already bettering me as a mom and a person. Cursing is going to have to be a challenge that I really prepare mentally for. I love my bad words... Smh... O_o
And I'm already bringing in an average part time salary a month being my own boss. :)

So in essence, I agree with the article. Striving to become better, do more, be stronger, be faster is a positive way to live. I believe that we SHOULD constantly play a game of proving to ourselves, (and others) that we can do something, even if we don't necessarily 'believe' it at first ourselves. (LIKE CROSSFITTING AT AGE 41 after SIX KIDS) o_O

It's not a bad thing. No matter what others may think or say. "Whether on the track, in the kitchen or just within our brain, competition forces us out of our comfort zone, into the unknown where the magic happens. When a victory finally does occur, well, it's pretty sweet. Tastes like cookies, as a matter of fact."

Just a different kind if cookie one that NO MONEY can buy and NO ONE can ever belittle or take away.  :')

What is YOUR weekend going to prepare you for?!

Weekends ARE the best when work is on the weekdays huh?

I am lucky enough to create my work schedule around my life whether it's a week day or weekend... so to me, there is a constant journey to better my everyday. I LOVE that...

When people ask me how many hours I give to my work, I can't even come up with an estimate. If I don't have a hectic week of errands, sports activities and family gatherings; I make it a point to be at my computer or make it to educational corings and business meetings. If it's a CrazY week, not much gets onto Instagram, FaceBook, YouTube, LinkIn, Twitter and this Blog (and I'm a bit more M.I.A.)... Sticking mostly to emails, texts and calls. But the amazing thing is that my work is my life at this point. I share thru connections with everyone.

So, I can do in 15/20 hrs what a 40/50 hr work week would encompass. As for the fulfillment that I get with the relationships that I am blessed with... well that is still unbelievable to me.

Today I hand over a little pep to a coaches step. I see a dear friend to meet her very first grandchild and go over her and her husband's new health & wellness regimen... And yesterday, I watched as a beautiful friend glowed and shimmered as she served our sons football team pasta, due to her efforts and my coaching and weight loss aids (ALREADY looking and feeling slimmer, more energetic and healthier after ONLY 3 DAYS) And Early in the day yesterday , I was fortunate enough to unite with the eldest in our family to begin implementing an out reach program for his current client base to ensure that our Isotonix line is available to all wanting and needing better health thru our Exclusive products that offer the fastest and most efficient delivery system of nutritional supplements on the market to date.

How do I place a time limit on that kind of 'work'?! I'm really just sharing, living, helping and enjoying my family, my friends and anyone else looking for information for getting to a healthier, stronger and happier tomorrow. I feel that I have gotten to a good place in life and it's so much more fun to help others get there too. :')

Wrapping things up, it's FRIDAY!!! What are YOUR plans? Chill and sit on the coach watching movies all weekend long??? (Although, I agree with that once in a while...)
DON'T WASTE IT AWAY!!!! Get up and move... go for a walk/run/hike/bicycle ride! Shop for a new 'healthier' meal plan for the upcoming week and cook away a day to be prepared for a wonderful week!!! Call a good friend from the past... Go visit a family member that you haven't connected with much lately.

Live well my bloggers and don't hesitate to make a change, you will never know what you are truly capable of until you try something you've never done.   =)

Today, it's a little business

I know that skepticism is out there...
I understand that holistic lifestyles are a taboo for many.

But here are the facts as I know them;

Our shop.com home based business has allowed me to stay where I strongly feel that I need to be. HOME! I have access to unlimited trainings, seminars, work shops and support. I am a health and wellness coach for many people now. I have been a big part of a total of 138 lbs lost in the last year for 5 people. Mentoring and setting business plans into action for team mates is being done on a daily basis. Our client list has grown to over 20 people, many of which are life time clients because they are off pharmasudicals and over the counter drugs with side affects that didn't even work to begin with.
We have people calling/emailing/texting to thank us for what we do because we don't just make a sale and disappear. Our passion has always been about empowering people so that they KNOW that anything is possible...

And last but far beyond least, we have the avenue to offer the public Cash Back for their on-line purchases from our amazing branded products AND  from OVER 4,000 partner stores like Coach, Victoria Secret, Target, GroupOn, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and many many more!

Get informed. KNOW what you're turning down. Frankly because it's our mission to ensure that we share your options with you (that you aren't even aware exist) and can drastically change your everyday! From living healthier to living wealthier... We think you've got time for dat!!!

And not that THIS should matter to much but IT DOES! We have received over $1,500 in JUST commissions! ...and another approximate $1,500 in JUST retail profit from products that sell themselves. We just stay passionate about who we are, what we know and what we have to offer.

Oh the little things...

...that moment when you place your 'promise ring' (from when you where 15 years old) on; and it fits loose!!! O_o
Like it's NEVER fit before. Not even when I was a sophomore in high school...

Very blessed and fortunate to have gotten to where I am today. It has not been easy breezy. It has not happened over night. But the key fact is that "I NEVER STOPPED BELIEVING IN MYSELF OR IN WHAT I CAN ACCOMPLISH!!!"

Hear me. Believe me. The strength to be who you want to be and/or do what you want to do exists in ALL of us.

Rich or poor. Young or old. Fat or skinny. Weak or strong. Fast or slow.

It's not about who we are or what we want. It's about your personal desire to grow along with your willingness to fail.

Only thru failure can you succeed!

I am living proof of that in so many more ways than one.

Believe in yourself and find a way to make your future your very own!!!

Have an incredible weekend my beautiful bloggers!

When life just happens...

There are so very many days now where I find myself not giving my home the time it needs, or my workouts the efforts or time they need.
I want to beat myself up over it but I can't!
These actions not taken are lacking because I chose to be there for my kids to do homework, watch football games, volunteer at pasta dinners, drive to and from wrestling practices and homework/play dates, see my siblings and my last remaining parent, cook with my boys to instill healthy eating habits to be carried on for future generations, listen to stories about their daily accomplishments, work my 'at home' biz, get some dishes and laundry done, reconnect and stay close with dear friends and spend some quality 'family' time watching tv or a movie here and there...
Now, have I really failed?! I chose to think NOT!
I love my life with all it's down falls and imperfections. And I urge YOU to ease up on YOUR expectations! Prioritize and make what matters to YOU worth your time and efforts... Let no one's opinion of you or your life hold you back from being YOU and doing what you do!
After time, my house chores call to me. Eventually, my workouts creep back into my everyday because they are a part of who and what I am as a woman, a mom, a mentor, an athlete... YES! I am 41 yrs old AND I am as much an athlete now as I was my Freshmen year in High School on the Varsity Volleyball team!!
(DAMN THAT FEELS GOOD TO WRITE BUT MORE GOOD TO TRULY FEEL!)

So, what's next?! Changing more lives, increasing the quality of mine and my family's... Practice my religion more. I LIVE my religion, I instill my Faith and beliefs in my children, but I don't get to mass on a weekly basis to fuel that Faith and passion that I was brought up with. I need more of that!!! My children need more of THAT! Oh the things we come to realize when we can't sleep and blog blog blog. Lol

Here's to wrapping up Sept by getting ready to make the LAST three months of the year the very best that they can be!

What do YOU need more of?! And what do you need to work on to not be so hard on yourself with???

Working on getting more posts in

Good morning bloggers!!!
Last month I actually got FIVE posts in!! Wooo Hoooo!!! THIS month I will get more in...
I think that I am over thinking things. I keep waiting for something exciting to blog about. And with all the different Social Media outlets that
ChangeForLifeShoppe is a part of, I also try not to be redundant. Ha!
But the truth is, I blog to inspire.. I blog to set things straight... I blog so that people know and understand the realities of seeking change in ones life.

Nothing worth having/doing is ever easy!
If you want to lose weight, it's going to take some self control. If you want to stop smoking, it's going to take some discipline. If it's a healthier life style of any sort that you desire,  it's going to take a whole lot of trial and error to find a way for it to fit YOUR needs. And if you are looking to be professionally successful in life, it's going to take some time, some work, a little bit of money and a proven plan of some sort to get there.

There is NO way around that!

Now as always, I remind you that in my 'seasoned' years, I've been blessed enough to learn a lot of the above first hand. I am in no way, shape or form done growing, learning and bettering myself but I do have some insight on how to get the ball rolling. Lol

And on top of it, I have made it my life's work to coach and help others reach their milestones! Yes, I am here. Ready and willing to share all I know and all that has proven to work (and not work) in my own personal journey.

So as redundant as I may be and as boring as posts may get; I won't stop doing/sharing my passion!

Always live life striving to stay true to yourself AND others.
Never stop seeking to better your situation because a brighter tomorrow DOES always exist.

Happy 'Thriving Thursday' bloggers!

Well... This is what the work outs look like on the board/paper

Today would have been our late brother's birthday... I have a feeling of sadness from within... Although I know that he is present in our hearts and sees the beauty in how we try and live our everyday.

That said... I'm going to share MY very first CrossFit work out. He in particular I was always lucky enough to impress with my determination and desire to better myself. Ha! (...just a cool tid bit into my psyche)

Now... You have to understand. I had not worked out in 4/6 months prior to this!

There will be a short video of where I am as of last Friday on our YouTube channel posted later today. I AM proud... Ha!

And I look forward to sharing more of what Cross Fit has done for me in the last month!

Check it out!! LAST SET OF 5 SETS at this weight (105#)... So form was giving a little but hey, it's a work in progress. And my competition IS ME!

Age Is Nothing But A Number

The beauty of simplicity...

Yep...

We're going to be trying to blog a bit... cause we are advertising EVERYWHERE!! Lol

This week I spoke to a hand full of people that seem to think that my being part of their lives has effected them in some way shape or form... and I cannot tell you how invigorating that idea is to me!

I have a whole lot of reasons to live. I mean, I have a marriage that I fight daily to keep solid. I have six incredible children that I aim to mold into Soldiers of Christ with each and every passing day; to be amazing beyond reason in all that they do and for all whom they are part of. I have a thriving HOME Based Business that allows me to flourish in helping others on many different levels!

...BUT to 'actually' hear a 16 year old girl tell me that I have influenced her to learn to LOVE running now after she trained for her first event...

...to have two of my sisters tell me that they are making small daily changes to better their quality of life...

...for a couple of friend's of the family/clients to call me a good friend for helping them take intricate steps to better health...

...for a lifetime friend to say, "You are the reason that I started to believe that I can be stronger, healthier and more active."

...and the children. To go beyond measure and voice what they feel about me as a woman, a mother, a friend...

Those things bring a certain satisfaction to my minor existence in this BIG BIG World!

Thank you. Thank you for the humbling and uplifting words that ignite my passion to get the word out that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING (at any age) that you want to!
The strength lies in every ONE of us to stand tall, fight battles and COME OUT FEELING EMPOWERED!

And no matter what your story is... you are NOT alone...

And no matter how difficult things may get, there ARE people here ready and willing to walk the journey along side you every step of the way!!!!

Happy Monday my beautiful bloggers...

Have an amazing weekend all!!! And remember, your destiny ultimately is what you make of what gets dealt to you in life! We all have struggles and battles to fight... some harder than others for sure, but if you believe that there ARE people willing to listen and offer their experiences for you to grow and prosper, than you are accepting that ANYTHING you set before you IS POSSIBLE!

Let's change for a better life shall we?

Half of 2013 gone... What will you fill the last half with?

Ready to get motivated to make the last half of 2013 the very best it can be?! I AM!!!

Great news. I have reembarked on my mission to finally see if I can transform my body at 40 and after 6 pregnancies with 50/60lb gains EVERY time to the lean, strong and fit body that I have ALWAYS dared to dream about.

Still seeing my new chiropractors that have completely allowed me to regain my inner strengths.

And now, I have been blessed with our eldest son's girlfriend's help (who is a certified crossfit trainer)!!

Yes, I am scared. But I am MORE excited!! I keep hearing that everything is scalable... and I will be the proof that CrossFit IS safe and for everyone that wants to live THAT lifestyle.

I am not rich but somehow my higher power finds a way to enable me to chase down my dreams. I am not perfect or all knowing but again, in many ways my higher power allows me to keep growing and learning.
My life is nothing short of amazing and it is not because I have everything but because I pride myself in teaching our six kids to see the value of what we DO have AND make the most of it.

Monday the 1st was my first day of eating "clean".  No breads, no pastas, no processed food, no unnatural sugars, no soft drinks, no fried food. Going back to basics... just a whole lot of eggs, lean meats, chicken & fish, vegetables, fruits and water.

Of course.. I WILL have my cheats... Trail Mix is a must once a day and the occasional alcoholic beverage is going down guilt free.

I'd like to make it for two whole months. ALL of July and ALL of August.

Along with training a minimum of three times a week... if THIS don't do it. I give!!

Ain't nothing going to fine tune my body the way that I WANT...

So you'll be seeing me more often now. I will be posting work outs done & fuel intake.

My Isotonix morning cocktail is an everyday staple to my good health which includes
Opc3 Antioxidant, Activated Vitamin b Complex, Calcium, Multivitamin, Magnesium & Orac Antioxidant. (All natural and NOT in pill form)

My TLS protein shake with Mochatonix natural energy booster & Complete Greens nutritional maintenance goes down after a work out or as the first snack of the morning after breakfast with a banana.

As per the fueling all day... If God didn't put it on the Earth... I'm probably not going to consume it. THAT'S how I intend to give it my all...

Happy 4th of July weekend people!

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Hey it's STILL June and I'm posting!!! You have to admit, that IS better than once a month... =)

Lot's going on...
Our client list is growing and we are consistently changing lives one person at a time with the home based business that we have been blessed to have found. One person is off diabetes & high blood pressure meds as well as 35lbs under their start weight. One person with fibromyalgia is off meds entirely, has a natural energy boost and overall feeling of wellness day in day out. Three of them no longer suffer from seasonal allergies. Four people that had digestive issues, heart burn and/or acid reflux no longer battle constantly to rid their body of waste or wake up in the middle of the night with discomfort. Four of them are able to maintain their athletic lifestyle with minimal soreness and fatigue. Three are completely changing their lifestyles with their eating habits, activity levels &  natural supplementation. Four others are no longer stressed out and easily agitated with daily ups and downs because of the powerful and natural vitamins, antioxidants & minerals that they have made a part of their everyday routine. And a good handful with meniscus problems, slight tears in shoulders or simple day-to-day aches & pains are minimized just by implementing our Isotonix line of products.
It truly IS a beautiful thing and I am proud of what I do and who I am for others because THIS company enables me to make a difference.

For any and all inquiries on the possibility that what we are passionate about may be right for you, feel free to contact me @
connie@changeforlifeshoppe.com

Now, for MY update!! I am excited to share that I am on my road to recovery from a minor set back that I couldn't quite put my finger on. If you do not ALREADY know, I LOVE being active and working out AT LEAST 3 times a week. Unfortunately, for the last 4/6 months I have not been myself. I lacked energy. I lacked desire to get out of bed constantly. And there was little to no motivation to be me. (Proud to admit that I NEVER lost faith in our morning cocktail of powerful nutraceuticals and stayed on my vitamins, antioxidants & minerals because I KNEW that would make things even worse)

Truth is... I had a bad kink in my neck that continuously got worse over time and for reasons out of our control I had not been to my chiropractor. It caused a pinching of the nerves, over compensation of muscles and lack of oxygen & blood flow to ALL of my vital organs.
(REALLY NO BIG DEAL, RIGHT?!) We ALL get uncomfortable once in a while or have a little strain or pull somewhere....

Well, FOR ME it WAS a big deal. I am fortunate enough to be in tuned with my body that I noticed the blah feelings in my daily routine. I ONLY did what I absolutely HAD to just to get by. Dishes got washed, dinners were cooked, kids were taxied around, we made it to all meets, games and events, work with the biz never suffered and sometimes, I even got some loads of laundry washed. (Couldn't even bring myself to fold it and put it away.) :(

My POOR family... so never mind getting a work out in, spending good quality time with the kiddos &  cleaning and maintaining the household of 7. (GEEEZZZZ... honestly, it got so bad that showering was starting to seem like such a chore.) O_o

THERE IS A REASON TO SHARE this seemingly meaningless info with you...

I want you all to realize that NO ONE life is perfect. Everybody is struggling at one point or another to find THEIR health, wellness & happiness.

And the important thing is to NEVER give up on yourself. Whether it's a fitness goal, a rehabilitation hurdle, a weight loss desire/need, or even a longing for emotional contentment.
SUCCESS EXISTS in ALL OF US.

WE ALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO HELP ONE ANOTHER AND GET ONE ANOTHER TO WHERE THEY WANT TO BE. You just have to be willing and open to asking for help.

I am here...

Happy Hump Day my bloggers...

Happy MONDAY bloggers!!

There is something to be said for a little TLC...
Yesterday's 'business' event in an Evanston Chiropractic office has actually helped me switch gears emotionally. Go figure.

I've needed that for about 2/3 months now. Don't even know what to tell ya'... Positivity is always the daily format. Love surrounds me. There really IS little to complain about. (Life is OBVIOUSLY 'NOT' perfect!) But I chose to see it otherwise on a daily basis.... that to me seems to be a key factor in living well.

So now with ALL that GOOD... I still had a dark (sometimes rain) cloud over me. I have not been myself emotionally and those close to me have noticed. Can't quite put my finger on why but it has even affected me physically at this point. I have not worked out steadily in those 2/3 months and that's not good since that TOO, I feel is key for living your very best.

Then I decided to support on of our team members at a business event. I wasn't really feeling it for quite a few reasons that I won't bore you with but my husband backed me up and we headed out the door thinking no big deal of it at all. Probably just make an appearance and be back home soon enough.

INCREDIBLE how true IT IS that in doing for others (with little regard for yourself)  comes greatness.

I learned about some of our other products, I got in on a complimentary massage,  I took part in the complimentary Pilates instruction,  I received a complimentary manicure, had a spinal check up AS WELL AS met and spoke with some beautiful people that simply said, uplifted the soul!

*Our Motives Nail Polish Is an amazing quality and frankly quite stunning! (As I type away with my BAD ASS nails!!) Thank you Ms. Marshall!!!
( Feel free to make a lair out of me and try them yourself!
motivescosmetics.com/changeforlifeshoppe )

*The Massage Therapist that got my husband to allow for his 1st massage EVER & alleviated a kink in my neck with the 'mini' session was great!! Thank you Ms. Frank-Maloney!!!
( She DOES freelance in the Chicago Land area... for more information just ask me! )

*The Pilates personal trainer not only gave me homework to strengthen that damn core but she has sparked my inner warrior to get healthier and stronger once again! Thank you Ms. Davis Zeinemann!! (Who ALSO does freelance training in the Chicago Land area... if a trainer is what you need, interview this wonderful lady!)

*The professional spinal analysis done by Zohra of the Evanston Complete Chiropractic office was very informative and I am looking forward to the follow up appointment later this week for my in depth overview! Thank you Skye Frank!!! ...for changing my life for a better one just by including me & my husband by inviting us to your work shop.

The relationships that build with these amazing people are simply priceless because the fact is, when put together... having met them made for a recipe to heal my emotional and psychiatric down falls that I have been trying (with ALL my might) to bring myself back from for quite some time.

Crazy huh?! But the bottom line... you NEVER know when/how the Universe or your Higher Power has in store for you to grow stronger and allow for you to be illuminated to carry on being who you truly are and to keep doing what you are meant to do by helping to make that difference in this World.

Make it YOUR kind of Monday my bloggers!!!

Thursday, May 9, 2013

Already in May... And with this amazing home based business, I just can't seem to kick myself into gear. I want to strengthen my body and really know, once and for all if I can achieve the IMPOSSIBLE!!! ...yes, a descent mid section at the age of 40 after  six pregnancies that had me with a 50 to 60 lbs weight gain EVERY time...

I know, I am/was much to blame for that awful weight gain... but truth is, (more like, truth(s) were),
1) I blew up like a balloon after the very first month of carrying.
2) My appetite and love, yes love for food increased 1,000%
3) And as much as I thrive on living an active lifestyle, my body would not allow for ANY strenuous activity. (I don't get why, but no matter my age, no matter the sex of each of my babies, I would try to keep up with jogging, swimming, cycling or some strength building yoga and my body would crucify me!)
GREAT recipe for a whopping 50 to 60 lb weight gain for 9 MONTHS at a time in 89', 91', 96', 98' 03' & 08'!!! (Incredible to me that this ACTUALLY happened) Lol

So now, with our 'baby' at 5 years old and my mid life crisis years upon me, it's time to take the life by the horns!! Why? I don't know, because I CAN?!?!

There are so many people out there that wish that they could be more active but have debilitating issues that keep them from being able to live physically active lives. Hell, who knows what life has in store for ME! I don't know what the future holds and the fact is, I don't want to take a single day of my blessings for granted.

I am healthy and at the lowest weight since high school right now. The secret... MORE THAN loving to work out... (Because I have only done that about 5/6 times total this year) O_o

EATING CLEAN & NURTURING MY BODY FROM THE INSIDE OUT with natural (NON PILL form) supplements...

I have lost inches and cloths sizes that I didn't even mean to lose. (From the first of this year to now)
The whole reason for my making the change to eating clean was to do it along side my husband this year that he has chosen to finally commit to living better!!!

He has lost over 35 lbs... he has COMPLETELY cleansed his pallet and changed his eating habits, he is NEVER starving & has also been committed to nurturing his body from the inside out!

HAS HE WORKED OUT???? Yes... not everyday. He has not done Insanity, PX anything or even killed himself at any weights or gym outings.

He has simply changed his outlook on things and eats smart. Now he always takes the stairs, is always moving, plays basketball with the kids here and there and occasionally gets a kettle bell work out in when his work schedule isn't kicking his butt! (Which isn't too often)
And now that the weather is working to our favor a little, I am looking forward to some softball, tennis, cycling & evening walks with our crew...

So ONLY more good things can happen!

Well, let's wrap this up 'eh.

I completed a circuit work out that lasted 10 minutes on Tuesday.
Today I got out for a little 2 miler.
And I am enlisting my boys to schedule a core/cardio/strength work out for everyday!
(Starting tomorrow! Cause all three of them now are rocking a six pack)

THIS IS MY 'realistic' 60 (possibly 90 day) challenge! ((((AGAIN...))))

"Let's see WHAT  I accomplish before MY next mid life crisis b-day in August?!  Ha!!!

I encourage YOU to come up with a challenge of your own... Make a change bloggers, you will NEVER regret trying!

*Kick the cigarette habit
*Kick the sugary drink habit
*Increase veggies & fruits to fill up more on
*Make the time to get ANY KIND of work
out in EVERY DAY for 30 days (Try just
  TEN MINUTES!!)
*START taking supplements to nurture from
  WITHIN!!!
*Drink 8 glasses of water every day
*Sleep 1 extra hour a night for a month!

These are JUST ideas... to help you live well.
Take them and make them your own. Let's get
to summer feeling AMAZING from the inside OUT!!

Taking Back Mondays and a whole lot more!

Here we are again... Wishing I had kept up better with this passion that I've had for quite a few years now. ...this blog.
I started it in hopes that it would enlighten people all over the World that losing weight & getting healthy is NOT impossible. No matter who you are! I being the perfect example of that with the whole 40yrs old thing, having carried six children and gained 50/60lbs EVERY time.

Thing is, keeping up with it is always a little time consuming and people always ask, "Why do you bother?!" But the answer is a simple one. Why not?! If we have something to share in this lifetime, what good is it if we take it to our grave without exposing it and sharing it with all who are willing to listen?

Then, our lives took a turn last year and we fell upon our home based business that allows for us to do just that. Share what we know and are passionate about, help others on a whole new scale and make a living off of it.

Well, it is true what they say; "In helping others, is when we can truly help ourselves."

A year and a whole month later... We have changed countless lives and one in particular that is near and dear to my heart, my husband's.

Since the beginning of this year, he has lost about 35lbs now. He has changed his eating habits ENTIRELY and his out look on life in general. I am so very proud of him and all of his achievements so far. He has a new sparkle in his eye. His cloths are all incredibly loose and he has the energy of a 30 something. :')

I believe that in trying to live up to our Faith in life, our Positivity is bouncing right back onto us... We have a long way to go. We have a lot more people to reach out to and a lot more growing to do as a company. But we are definitely on the right road. And the sky is simply the limit.

With ALL that being said, we hope that you get off to an amazing week today and feel the positive energy in your day! And remember, just one small change at a time can be the foundation of a whole new you... :)

ONLY day 8 in the 12 week challenge

Not too shabby...

David is down a whole 32lbs from his highest weight ever!! (25 of those lbs. since the beginning of the year!!) And we are NOW starting with some dietary supplements that are meant to help rewire the metabolism. He has COMPLETELY cleansed his pallet with a rigorous detox, changed his eating habits entirely already AND about to step up his work out routine from 20/30min 3x a week and some basketball on the weekends to basketball on Sunday with the boys AND more intense and frequent work outs during the week.

THERE IS NO CHANCE FOR FAILURE TO ATTAIN A HEALTHIER & HAPPIER BEING!!!
His mind set is in a place that I have never witnessed before in our 26 years together.
I am so very proud of his efforts and accomplishments thus far that I'm teary eyed trying to get through this blog post.
At this point, whether they choose him or not in June as the challenge winner, he is already a winner to me and our children.
Keeping on this road to maintaining his overall health and living everyday to it's max with our children is a BIG PRICELESS WIN!

...BUT, I cannot tell a lie. To witness him up on stage receiving a $15,000 check for all of his hard work, dedication and determination being acknowledged is a dream come true for me.
Little 'ol me... a woman without a degree, mother of six, wife to my high school sweetheart, mentor and motivator to all that are willing to listen about the importance and simplicity of a healthier, stronger and happier life.
THAT would sensationally validate who I am, what I do and who I strive to be.

Do I need that prize to feel good about myself?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
With all of the over abundance of blessings that my life is filled with; quite honestly, no.
It would just be an amazing endorsement to ChangeForLifeShoppe the business, Connie Lopez the mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin & friend BUT most of all, motivation and inspiration to all of you who seek to believe that you can in fact recreate yourselves and find a healthier & happier tomorrow starting TODAY!

NOT TO LOOK BETTER, because living well and working hard at it is NOT VEIN.

It is commendable because it is not the 'easy' thing to do. It is to pride yourself with because you are ensuring to not only look good but to FEEL great and live everyday you have left to the fullest of your ability by doing so.

And ONLY YOU can MAKE IT HAPPEN

So that's it for the Detox...

We went ALMOST five days!!! I am so very proud of my baby... I've lost 7 lbs in 5 days and he won't weigh in until Friday (the one week mark)
We move on tomorrow to the next stage of fueling. All the while logging and getting more work outs in.

Felt energized and amazing today. Went out for a light run in the storm!!! It felt amazing!!!
...until I got the dizzies and tossed my cookies (more like stomach acid) almost a mile and a half in... LmBo!

Thank goodness for our boy who was available for my S.O.S. call... Smh..

Well, another piece to our current harmony is that I have gotten our bedroom organized and rearranged!! =D
Our home office is half way done as well and the rest of the house is up to par! (Not an easy task to keep up with while our ChangeForLifeShoppe is growing and all the momma running around is a way if life) But I will be trying to stay on top of everything better. By the end of the week, I should be able to get the girls room organized and done too.

I'll post again soon!!! Have a restful night bloggers! G'nite... :)

Alright... I gave you guys a breather. Today makes 3 Days down and for me, only 1 to 2 to go. For my hubby, 4 to go. Yes, the lifestyle plans are catered to each individuals goals, needs & preferences.

All we've had to eat are veggies & fruits. And a whole lot of h2o. I am feeling great... my baby, well, a bit hungry but he is on a mission to make these three months count as he changes his lifestyle completely!! I am so very amazed at the ability the he has shown just by fueling his desires to be healthier. When I heard, "I just want to sit down and watch t.v. babe. We haven't just sat down to unwind in forever!" I knew that we are headed in the right direction.

Weigh ins done, measurements taken, journaling and logging started & before photos in the file!

I'm not going to lie. It has been a little difficult this time around. Had a 40th celebration today to enjoy family that we've reconnected with and we could not attend the gathering. Just drove out for the service and little ceremony but it was worth seeing all of our family and being a part of it.
Had to stay focused and make sure that my baby didn't have it any harder than he already has it smelling that homemade Mexican cuisine.

Avoiding the occasional Pepperidge Farm DOUBLE chocolate Milano cookie or bite of a homemade toasty super duper sandwich HAS been tougher than usual for me. But if David is avoiding cheating at all cost, it's the very least that I can do...

Now to decide if I am going to make it past the 4/5 day mark or stay strong with him until the 7th.

Weigh in tomorrow may be the deciding factor... but who am I kidding?! I highly doubt that I can leave him alone in the detox week, even for those 2/3 L O N G days. =D

Check in with you in a day or two...

Have a fantastic week bloggers!!!

Fitness expert Denise Austin——————————
Need a little inspiration to recommit to your exercise routine? Take a look at fitness queen Denise Austin, who, at age 55, looks better than many women in their 20s and 30s. Of course, the exercise DVD diva isn’t immune to the effects of aging—she’s just figured out how to offset them.
“As soon as I hit 48, any fat that normally would have gone onto my hips or thighs traveled to my middle,” says Austin. “It was frustrating, but I realized I needed to change up my workout and start watching my calories." Her secrets to a slim, sexy body after 40 can be found in her new book, Side Effect: Skinny. “After 30 years in the business, I know what works for woman my age and what works for me, and I’ve put together a plan that will help you lose weight, taking it one week at the time,” says Austin.
Want a sneak peek? We thought so. Read on for Austin’s top tips for blasting belly fat after 40.

Kick up cardio workouts.

After age 30, every additional birthday candle that you blow out increases your risk for muscle loss. Which means you’re burning fewer calories, because a pound of muscle naturally burns more calories than a pound of fat. One way to offset this and avoid the middle-age muffin top: “Lengthen or boost the intensity of your cardio workouts,” says Austin. “You’ll burn more calories per sweat session.” Her favorite calorie-blaster: Interval walking. “I love it, and it’s really helped me keep off weight after hitting 50.” The best part is intervals are easy and all fitness levels can do them. “All you have to do is change the pace of your walk every two to four minutes, increasing your speed for a few minutes and then dropping back to a more moderate pace for a few minutes, and repeat that series for 30 minutes,” says Austin. “For the speed bursts, do a faster walk or break into a little jog. Just pump it out as best you can.”

Sneak in strength training.

“I’m really into compound exercises because they allow you to double the workout in half the time,” says Austin. “If you’re doing moves that target the entire body, like a squat with an overhead press or a lunge with a bicep curl, you can tighten and tone all your muscles in only seven minutes.”

Adopt the 7-to-7 rule.

“Another trick that really helps me stay on track is to only eat between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday through Thursday,” says Austin, who’s more lax about eating later on the weekends. “It’s really made a difference for me because it cuts out a lot of the extra noshing in the evening that can pack on pounds.” Tempted to snack? Sip on lemon water or herbal tea.

Go green.

With your tea, that is. “I really believe that green tea is the key for all of us women who are gaining some weight around your middle,” says Austin, noting that research shows green tea extract may increase your calorie and fat burn. “I think that’s a big part of what’s helped me. I now drink one cup every day.”

Plan a food splurge.

“I think it really helps if you focus on losing weight one week at a time,” says Austin. “Aim to eat healthy six days out of the week, and then enjoy what I call a “super splurge” on the seventh day. It helps you enjoy yourself and not feel so deprived, so you’re ready to recommit to healthy eating the following week.” Austin normally saves her super splurge for date night with her hubby. “I love to go out with my husband and a few friends on Friday or Saturday. Being from Southern California, Mexican food is my favorite, and I normally splurge on enchiladas and margaritas.” Yum!
