It's been four days since my Achilles' tendon has been reattached. Maybe I should have thought accepting 'any size' scar out twice. Lol It's a big one... O_o
But the truth is, my main concern was NOT cosmetic but functional. After the full two years of healing and recovery, I AM looking to regain my competitive nature. Unfortunately, my patience is definitely not doing well with all of this.
Thankfully, I have many loved ones checking in, visiting and helping us out with meals and taking our little ones out here and there.
Not being as young as I used to be helps me to be realistic about the rest and healing that my body needs to go thru. I'm in no way looking to hinder any progress by a fast kick at being 'Super'.
...those days are long behind me.
Feeling like I barely got thru the third day after surgery 'ON' pain killers, has me humbly taking in these last few days pain killer FREE. Lol
Those pills have too many side effects for me, so we're just going to take it one day at a time without those.
Everyday I am on a full dose of Opc3 antioxidant, Bromelain Plus and Vitamin D with k12. ...with the Multi, Orac Antioxidant, Calcium & Vitamin b complex to supplement for natural healing from the inside out.
Being conscious of how I fuel is a huge help since I am moving around VERY little. By Monday I will be looking to start my TLS nutritional shakes in the mornings with my Complete Greens and possibly some fruit. Leaving only two small meals to worry about.
Wrapping things up...
My mind is not at it's best right now but my heart and soul are helping me to keep things in perspective. There are many variables to why things feel so much more difficult than they really are. The main one being the motorcycle accident that our son was in on Sunday night and all the back and forth with that surgery this week along with my post op week.
I am working everyday at staying positive and knowing that as tough as each day is right now, we are truly blessed and moving forward one day at a time.
Until next week... Happy Blogging!
