About Me

My photo
The way I see it, the time is NOW... for change to come & happiness, health & strength to be found. As of 2012, this has only changed in the way that I have stumbled upon an amazing at home business venture that has given me the avenue to ACTUALLY help transform peoples lives. Funny thing is, that's been my goal all along. So now I not only share who I am here but what I do. The fact is that anyone of you can actually find your happiness & success thru allowing the right connections to occur in your life. If you are on my blog... you made it here because you are looking to shift, strive, smile &/or change. Well now, I can help guide you to do any & all of the above thru personal motivation, life changing products with an outstanding reputation & LONG list of testimonials, substantial savings with our shopping annuity & incredible business opportunities to actually call your own... While never having to leave the security of your current J O B! Never be afraid to give something you know nothing about a chance; at least to hear about it. Then you can make an educated decision to pass it up not an ignorant one. The opportunities exist.

The proof is in the puddin'

I've always known this to be true. Did I actually believe it? Or much less like it?? No. Not really....

You see, even though my journey in life has been pretty much an athletic one; I have to confess that I am addicted to stepping on that God forsaken scale. (Almost daily) 🙈

I know when I am eating clean within the 80/20 rule. I know when I am active and running and/or hitting the gym. Therefor by default; I KNOW that I am healthier, leaner and stronger. ...and yet without fail; I step on, hoping and praying to see 'my dream' weight. 😑

Needless to say; it has yet to happen. Lol

#rawtruth #righthererightnow

...for the last 11 days I have been at the beginning of a 21 day challenge. I have in total only lost 6 lbs in said 11 days but 2 & 1/2 ins.

I am not 'thrilled' but I know that I should be. I have hit the gym 7 times in those 11 days; I am easing back into the lifestyle that I strive for and admit that my journey is still a long one to reach the ultimate personal goals that I have set for years.

In closing, to those of you that share this obsession to climb onto that scale; DITCH IT!

The measuring tape and how you feel are no liars to the true measure of your success in progress.

Picked up the pace a bit...

Went to see the specialist a week earlier than he had originally asked me to yesterday... Outcome:

1) He was not to keen on me driving just yet. (But he DID seem to question the possibility that I may be able to try =)

2) Not cleared for therapy yet because there isn't much else that therapists can have me do; than what he has me working on myself. (Could not force my foot to point and flex before. NOW I am approved to force it without applying outsourced pressure)

3) Kicking the crutches to the curb for good. (Even on store runs and long walks to bus stops)

4) BOOT walking ONLY until OCTOBER 20th!! (At which time, I will be walking WITHOUT boot for a week) ...Then I see him once again for therapy and driving clearance.(Hopefully)

5) Massage the incision site!! (Time for calling in my specialist!!!!)

I am 3 days shy of my 9 week post op date and needing to wait another 3 weeks in this boot and 4 weeks to get back to driving really DOES stink.

However, the way I see it is that there is only one thing to do here,

STAY FOCUSED ON THE BRIGHT SIDE ...and try as hard as possible to look past the dragging.

9 weeks down and 'just' 4 to go to drive and walk in my right shoes again! =)))

And once therapy starts (hopefully in the last week in October), the goal will be
To run my first mile.
To begin a whole new exercise regimen to strengthen my body all over again.
To recreate myself the way that ONLY I WILL BE HAPPY WITH physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Happy Friday My fellow bloggers!

8 weeks and more obstacles n' counting...

Finally 8 weeks since the surgery... What's new?!

I can bare weight on the 'healing' foot!!
Haha!!
My patience has been through the ringer. As has my poor family's!

I got myself a little case of food poisoning abt 3 & 1/2 weeks ago and thanks to my Isotonix helping to raise some BIG flags that things 'should' not go on with me feeling 'stable'; I got myself to the doctor who prescribed some heavy duty antibiotics.

So, for the last 6 days, my symptoms have eased BUT those darn things had me dizzy, tired and every time that I used my shoulders/good foot/or anything really, WEAK! ...oh yeah and with too much movement, nauseous. -___-

Go figure... No more stomach pain, diarrhea or feeling like dying but now a whole other slue of issues to try and learn to deal with from a 'prescription' drug. (While I am 'trying' to heal with my Achilles problem.) Lol
(My poor family and house)
Did I mention my lack of patience since birth?! I mean, I supposedly, walked at like 7 or 9 months (something crazy like that) o_O ...figures.

Then today came to be.
Ahhh...yes.
Dizziness minimal. Took a small 5 capful cocktail of my Isotonix, had my TLS Nutritional shake w/Complete Greens AND mochatonix in the a.m. and my body didn't ask me for additional fuel until almost 2!!
So much more like myself... Thank The Lord.

The follow-up is not supposed to be for another 2/3 weeks but I can't take it anymore! I rescheduled for THIS Thursday. O_O
Hoping to get an 'ok' for driving or at least starting some therapy! We've got to MOVE THIS HEALING PROCESS ALONG!

In the end, all I can really say is :
Strength comes in ALL shapes and sizes. I never seem to be as strong as I would like and this life has nothing but lessons for us to learn and grow from.
Be humble. Get motivated. Stay positive.
((( and ALWAYS, ALWAYS find something to be grateful for )))

4 weeks post op... 24 to go!

Hurray!!!

Finally. Surgery was four weeks ago on that 'fluke' Achilles rupture. Cast came off at week two. Sutures out at week three and 1/2. And today, I get to 'walk' ((in the boot only)) to get dressed, get to the bathroom and around the house a little!

This last month has taken it's toll on my anxiety and mood. It's been rough on all of my kiddos and my husband because apparently, filling in the gaps on THIS team member isn't very simple. >_<
(Maybe next time they are in ear shot of someone asking 'what the heck I do all day,' they'll  punch them in the throat!) lol

Anyway, I stayed up (more than) half the night trying to figure out how to get my mood under control and I came up with two things:

1) I worked out... Mostly on my back with crunches, leg lifts, air bicycle parallel to the ground and some modified push ups. MAN IT FELT GOOD TO WORK UP THAT SWEAT!! (First accountability shot since the rupture on the 21st of July! Just four days short on a month to getting back to 'ME')
2) I've been so diligent on sleeping in as late as possible and consuming ONLY the THREE ESSENTIALS TO HEAL, Opc3, Bromelain Plus and Vitamin D with the occasional Multivitamin; that I have neglected to take in my 'other' essentials such as the ACTIVATED VITAMIN B COMPLEX, CALCIUM and MAGNESIUM!!! ...it's no wonder my mood and anxiety have been in disarray!

The occasional set backs of pain, discomfort and weight barring when I lose my balance are all present and accounted for. But I'm only human and I am brand new at learning to cope with all of the above. As well as having been put out of full commission for so long and having to depend on those who have ALWAYS depended on me, as the icing on the cake. :/

Good thing is that now that the last three of my musketeers are starting school ALL DAY on Wed, I HAVE to start dragging myself out of bed with purpose and determination.

So there's the skinny on my journey to recovery! I hope that something in this piece put a smile on your face, a chuckle in your throat or ignites a little desire to chase down whatever little/big obstacle you may have thought daunting. Because with the right attitude, NOTHING can bring you down.

Happy Monday!
